5-Amino-1MQ is a small-molecule quinolinium compound — not a peptide. It is characterised in the literature as an inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT). Supplied as a powder for in-vitro and laboratory research.
Published work is largely in-vitro and in animal models, examining NNMT inhibition and its relationship to cellular nicotinamide and NAD+ pools.
