Semax is a synthetic peptide analogue of the ACTH(4–10) fragment, developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Moscow. It carries no corticotropic activity. Supplied lyophilised for in-vitro and laboratory research.
It appears in the published literature principally within animal-model studies of brain-derived neurotrophic factor expression and of monoaminergic signalling.
